Our modern everyday life has the ability to be filled by appointments, busyness and should haves. Everything screams “faster and faster” and before we know it, another year is over.
The gurus tell us the list of software we need and the next course to take.
The media reads us their script.
2020 and 2021 tells us that the world has gone mad and that quite frankly it has been mad for longer than 2 years.
So let me say this,
It is very grounding and decelerating to consciously perceive the change in the world with its rhythm and make the 180’s and roundabout transitions of life.
2020 and 2021 have changed me profoundly, for the good.
I invite you to turn off the noise and consider how recent challenges have changed you for the better and possibly for good.
Enjoy the life right in front of you.
You don’t need a better status update or to seek grand adventures.
Be willing to create both the ordinary and extraordinary with what you have.
My hope is that you find light in the darkest of places – something I make my self do every day.
And I hope you create things that bring you joy.
Today, I will ride my bike, play with the dogs, cook delicious meals for my husband, plant new herbs and echinacea flowers. I’ll create new videos, new print on demand designs for the Fall season and publish a few content pieces. I’ll keep our home coffee bar cranking and make the house smell amazing with crackling bacon.
I’ll add a bit of cozy to the house in the evening.
These are my daily mountain top experiences that are my ordinary yet extraordinary things.
